2024 REVIEW
SPRING
We joined Eastside Pride on June 1st for the annual Paws and Pride event in Bellevue, meeting lots of people and cute dogs!
SUMMER
Farmers market ... we hosted a stand at the farmers market in Sammamish three times over the summer. It was lovely to meet people in the community and share what we do while finding out about needs in the community
FALL
September 21, 2024: International Peace Day
We partnered with KCLS Sammamish for the UNESCO initiative to celebrate and focus
on peace around the world. This year, the focus was on “Cultivating a culture of Peace”.
As UNESCO says on their website, “The Constitution of the United Nations Educational,
Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) starts with the notion that “wars begin in the minds of men so it is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be
constructed”. It is this notion that framed the theme and logo of this year’s observance of the International Day of Peace. We spent time focusing on peaceful actions, stories about peace and mediation.
